Used in the treatment of certain cancers and inflammatory diseases by targeting the CSF1 (colony stimulating factor 1) pathway. It works by blocking the interaction between CSF1 and its receptor, thereby inhibiting the activation and survival of tumor-associated macrophages that support tumor growth. This antibody has been investigated in clinical trials for conditions such as tenosynovial giant cell tumor and other solid tumors where macrophage infiltration plays a key role. It may also have potential in autoimmune and chronic inflammatory diseases by modulating macrophage-driven inflammation.
