AquaForce™ DHHB (Water-Dispersion) is a broad-spectrum, stable, water-dispersible diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate sunscreen. It is easy to use, has a good texture, and is compatible with all types of physical sunscreens.

    AquaForce™ DHHB Highlights

    1. Can be dispersed directly in water, no need to dissolve in oil, allowing for a water-based sunscreen formula or oil-in-water emulsion, which is light on the skin and not sticky like a water-in-oil emulsion formula, which is necessary for general sunscreens or normal DHHB (which must be dissolved in oil).

    2. High stability when exposed to sunlight (exposed to Solar simulator for 30 minutes, the effectiveness is reduced by no more than 5% compared to general sunscreens which are reduced by more than 20%).

    3. Not absorbed into the skin because it is wrapped in polymer, reducing the chance of allergies or irritation caused by general chemical sunscreens.

    4. It has a distinctive feature that it can be used with all types of physical sunscreens, which is different from some chemical sunscreens that cannot be used with physical sunscreens.

Although this formula can be made into a water-based emulsion, without oil or silicone, it may feel uncomfortable on the skin. The ideal formula should be a lightweight oil-in-water emulsion, with a lightweight oil or silicone formula, so that the skin feels smooth and comfortable when applied.

The company distributes AquaForce™, a water-dispersible, highly stable, and highly effective sunscreen with five types of protection.

    1. AquaForce™ EHT is the most effective and stable UVB protection with a concentration of 20% EHT.

    2. AquaForce™ AVO has the highest efficiency in protecting against UVA light and is highly stable due to BEMT with a concentration of AVO + BEMT 20%, which provides stability.

    3. AquaForce™ DMTS (or Mexoryl XL , a sunscreen developed by L'Oreal) is a highly effective and stable UVA+UVB sunscreen with a DMTS concentration of 20%.

    4. AquaForce™ BEMT is the most effective UVA+UVB protection and highly stable with BEMT concentration of 20%.

    5. AquaForce™ DHHB is highly effective in protecting against UVA light, is highly stable, and has the advantage of being compatible with all types of physical sunscreens, with a DHHB concentration of 20%.

Recommendations for developing a water-based sunscreen formula:

    1. If you want to emphasize UVB (skin burning protection), choose AquaForce™ EHT. It can be used alone. If you don't want to emphasize UVA (skin aging protection), you can easily achieve UVB (SPF50+) protection. The formula is light and has a low cost.

    2. If you want to emphasize UVA (skin aging protection), choose AquaForce™ AVO, which can be used alone.

    3. If you want to emphasize Borad spectrum UVA+UVB

3.1 In case of low cost, use AquaForce™ EHT together with AquaForce™ AVO which will provide broad spectrum efficiency to protect from both UVA+UVB with very high SPF and UVAPF values.

3.2 In case you want to emphasize convenience and use only one sunscreen, use AquaForce™ BEMT which will provide broad spectrum efficiency and protect against both UVA+UVB with very high SPF and UVAPF values.

    4. If you want to focus on using premium sunscreens for export to European countries, choose AquaForce™ DMTS. DMTS is a sunscreen that Europe accepts as having the highest safety, providing very good broad-spectrum efficiency, and being very stable. The formula can be easily developed and is very light, but it will be expensive.

    5. If you want to develop a hybrid sunscreen that has both physical sunscreen (titanium dioxide, zinc oxide) and also has good UVA protection, choose AquaForce™ DHHB.

Having a small amount of ethanol in the formula (3-5%) will help to make the texture smoother and the skin feel lighter.

This product line is researched and developed by Myskinrecipes research team and is in the process of patenting.

Application: Used as a highly effective broad-spectrum UVA+UVB filter in sunscreen formulations.

Mixing method: Mix in water. Avoid using heat above 40C for more than 15 minutes (can use heat at 60C for a short period of time).

Usage rate: 1-50% (FDA allows up to 50%)

    Product characteristics: Light yellow liquid

Storage method: If you want to store it long term, it should be stored at room temperature, avoid sunlight and heat, close the lid tightly, shelf life is at least 2 years.

INCI Name : Water, Acrylates/C12-22 Alkyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (20%), Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorophenesin, Sodium Benzoate
