WaterMix™ Red No.30 Talc Lake (pH-Stable 2-13) is a ready-to-use, water-dispersible red liquid dispersion based on Red No.30 Talc Lake (CI 73360) for cosmetic and personal-care color adjustment.

The WaterMix format makes lake color easier to use in aqueous systems, gels, surfactant bases, emulsions, soaps, and color cosmetics because the color is supplied as a liquid dispersion instead of a dry powder that must be pre-wetted by the customer.

Formulation Guidance

Use WaterMix™ Red No.30 Talc Lake as a cosmetic colorant dispersion for red-tone shade development in formulas that can accept a water-dispersible color system. Shade intensity depends on the formula base, opacity, pigment load, surfactant level, and final pH, so final shade matching should be done in the finished base.

Within pH 2-13, the color has been tested for strong pH stability. If the finished formula is outside this tested range, or if the formula contains high electrolyte, high surfactant, strong solvent, or unusual oil/emulsifier systems, confirm the final shade and dispersion stability in the actual base.

Use Level

Recommended use range: 0.1-50%. Select the level according to the target shade strength, opacity, formula base, and local colorant regulations for the product category and market.

How to Mix

• Shake or homogenize before weighing so the color dispersion is uniform.
• Add into the water phase, surfactant phase, or finished emulsion/gel while mixing.
• Use moderate shear until the color is fully uniform throughout the batch.
• For transparent or low-viscosity bases, premix with a small amount of water, glycerin, or part of the formula base before addition to prevent local high-color spots.
• For anhydrous or high-oil bases, use an appropriate emulsification or dispersion system because this is not an oil-soluble color.
