Pudding Gel Maker™ (Acid/Electrolyte Resistant) is an electrolyte- and acid-resistant polymeric gelling agent (INCI: Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer) designed to build high-viscosity, pudding-like gel textures in water-based cosmetic systems.

At typical use levels it thickens efficiently and helps suspend beads or insoluble actives. Above 2%, the gel can develop a firm, pudding-like texture; for a stiffer pudding texture, 2.5% can be used.

Its resistance to electrolytes and its acid tolerance make it suitable for formulations containing challenging actives. The recommended working pH range is 3–7, which covers most skincare products.

Product Description: This crosslinked acrylic polymer forms a structured gel network in water, increasing yield value and improving suspension stability. It is particularly useful when the formula contains salts, ionic actives, or acidic components that often collapse conventional gel systems.

Usage: Clear gel, gel-cream, serum, mask, and scrub formulas (including systems that need bead suspension); suitable for electrolyte-rich and mildly acidic skincare systems.

Mixing method:

- Sprinkle into water under moderate agitation to avoid clumping; mix until fully dispersed.

- Allow sufficient hydration time for full viscosity development (higher use levels may require longer).

- Add electrolytes/actives gradually and fine-tune the final pH within the recommended window to optimize texture and stability.

Usage rate: 0.5–2.5% (pudding-like texture typically develops above ~2%; ~2.5% for a stiffer gel).

Product characteristics: Lightweight white powder.

Solubility: Dispersible in water; forms a gel upon hydration.
