Use: For products that require color change when in contact with the skin (there is a change in the pH of the formula)
How to mix: Melt 0.05% citric acid into the oil phase first, then dissolve the pigment completely in the same oil phase before combining with other phases. This procedure helps keep the bulk formula pale and lets the color develop mainly after skin contact.
Utilization rate: 0.1-3% depending on desired color intensity (recommended formula pH 1.0–7.0).
