Currently, whitening ingredients are classified according to their working mechanism as follows (in order from the onset of pigment formation to the breakdown of pigment):

1. Reduce UVB induced inflammation and oxidation. Reduce inflammation or free radicals that are stimulated by UVB light. Examples of this group include Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate , almost all types of Licorice Extract , and other anti-inflammatory agents.

2. Suppression of Endothelin-1 Inhibits the peptide Endothelin-1, which is the starting point in the process of UVB-induced Melanogenesis, such as Tranexamic Acid.

3. Inhibition of Tyrosinase activators inhibit substances that are activators of the enzyme tyrosinase, which is the enzyme responsible for producing the pigment melanin. Examples of this group include MSH White ™ and Z-White ™.

4. Suppression of tyrosinase and melanin synthesis. Inhibits the activity of the enzyme tyrosinase and the process of synthesizing skin pigments, melanin, such as Kojic Acid , Glabridin from Licorice Extract , Activated Resorcinol , SymWhite ™ , Placenta Extract (sheep placenta extract, horse placenta extract, pig placenta extract) , Alpha Arbutin , N-acetyl glucosamine , Resveratrol , Oxyresveratrol , Deoxyarbutin , Ellagic acid.

5. Reactive oxygen species such as all types of Vitamin C.

6. Suppression of release of melanin inhibits the process of releasing melanin into the skin, such as Vitamin B3.

7. Turnover and desquamation promotion stimulates skin cell turnover such as AHA , BHA , PHA , LHA of all types.

8. Prevention of tyrosinase formation Inhibits the formation of tyrosinase enzymes such as Z-White ™.

9. Copper Interaction like all types of Vitamin C

10. Inhibition of melanosome maturation such as Alpha Arbutin , Deoxyarbutin.

11. Promotion of tyrosynase decomposition Stimulates the decomposition of (destroys) tyrosinase enzymes such as 4MSK.

In summary, it was found that Z-White ™ can exert its whitening effect through two mechanisms, making it ideal for use in combination with other ingredients with different mechanisms to enhance the effectiveness of skin whitening products completely.

Usage rate: 0.1-3%, 1% recommended . Using at a rate higher than 1.0% may cause a tingling sensation on the skin for approximately 1-3 minutes when applied to the skin.

Product appearance: white/light colored powder

Solubility: Can be dissolved in water, but dissolves well at low pH, around 3-4.

Storage: Store at room temperature, away from light and heat. Shelf life: at least 24 months.
