Acnezyme™ is the enzyme Lysozyme (lysozyme) extracted from egg whites. Special high concentration type, has Enzyme Activity of more than 45,000Unit FIP per milligram, has anti-bacteria effect. From research it was found that Can help kill acne-causing bacteria (P.Acne) when used for 4 weeks in a row with a concentration of 3-5%.
Acnezyme™ is cationic (positively charged) so it can adhere well to the skin. But it cannot be used together with an emulsifier or any substance that is anionic (negatively charged). In formulas that use Acnezyme™, choose to create a gel texture by using a non-ionic thickener, for example, use Hydroxyethyl Cellulose to create a gel texture. Or you may create a serum texture with Silky Serum Base.
Avoid heat at all costs. This is because the bacteria-killing enzymes in Acnezyme™ can be destroyed.
Instructions for mixing Acnezyme™
- If creating a gel texture with Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, which requires heat to form. Create a gel in pure water first. When you have the gel texture Leave at room temperature (to cool down) then add Acnezyme™ to the formula and stir until dissolved. Do not add Acnezyme™ to the gel while the gel is still hot. Because it will cause the quality of the enzyme to deteriorate.
-Can use penetration enhancer such as Ethoxydiglycol, Dimethyl Isosorbide (DMI) to increase efficiency.
Temperature 4 degrees can be stored for 25 months, temperature 15 degrees can be stored for 18 months, room temperature can be stored for 12 months.
Usage: For acne treatment products, reduce inflammation, kill acne bacteria (P.Acne bacteria).
How to mix: Mix until dispersed in water. The formula should have a pH in the range of 4-7, the best is 6.2, where Acnezyme™ will be able to kill bacteria most effectively. avoid heat Heat will cause the enzyme to deteriorate.
Usage rate: 1-5%
Product characteristics: Light weight white powder, pH in the range 3.0-5.0, has an egg odor (sulfur).
Solubility: Can be dispersed in water, in gel or in cream.
Storage: For long-term storage Store in the refrigerator. Do not expose to sunlight or heat. Seal the lid tightly.
