ActiveRelease™ Biotin is biotin in encapsulated form that can be directly dissolved in water without the pH limitation that affects the solubility of normal biotin.
Normal biotin is water soluble at higher pH (above pH 6.5), but ActiveRelease™ Biotin is water soluble from pH 3.5 and above. Research has shown that at pH 4-5, the scalp can absorb Biotin much better, resulting in full efficacy and no re-crystallization problems in the formula.
Biotin has the following effects on the scalp and skin:
- Helps accelerate hair growth, reduce hair loss, strengthen hair roots, nourish hair for good health. Suitable for use in shampoo or conditioner formulas, leave-on conditioner or Hair Tonic.
- Helps nourish nails to be healthy. Suitable for use in hand-cream formulas.
- Helps nourish the skin to be healthy for the skin care cream formula.
*Biotin is photosensitive and can be easily destroyed by UV light. The formula used should contain a UV Filter such as Protec™ UV or Benzophenone-4 to help protect Biotin from UV damage.*
Usage: For hair growth accelerator products, hair nourishment, hair loss reduction, and skin care.
Mixing method: Mix at the last step of the formula by blending until it is dispersed in the formula.
Usage rate: 1-5% (Usage rate at 5% is equivalent to Pure Biotin 0.12%, which can be absorbed into the skin or scalp much higher than general Biotin)
Product appearance: white powder
Dissolution: Can be dissolved in water by heating at 60 degrees to accelerate dissolution.
Storage: Keep in a refrigerator at 6-8 degrees Celsius, avoid light, shelf life at least 2 years.
