Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC, 1000mPa.s.)
Acts as a thickener/gel per product
Viscosity type 1000mPa.s. , Degree of Substitution 0.8 (emulsify)
Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) acts as a viscous/gel. per product
The company sells two types of CMC:
1. Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC, 1000mPa.s.) to a concentration of 1000mPa.s. at 1% in water (ds=0.8).
2. Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC, 2000mPa.s.) to a thickness of 2000mPa.s. at 1% in water (ds=0.9).
Both types can be used together to adjust the gel texture in the desired manner.
Both types have a high Degree of Subsitution (ds), making them able to emulsify (water-oil bonding) well and resistant to acids and salts.
Use: for all kinds of products to increase the viscosity increase gel (thickening)
Mixing method: soluble in water
Usage rate: 0.1-3% (depending on the required viscosity)
Product characteristics: white/light powder
Solubility: can dissolve in water
Storage: For long term storage Store at room temperaturedo not expose to sunlight and avoid moisture
