Trihydroxystearin
- Product Code: 6942
Thixotropic (meaning when shear force is applied, the viscosity of the substance will decrease . But when you stop applying force, the viscosity will return to its original state), which is considered a flow characteristic suitable for all types of cosmetics, especially any type of make-up.

Trihydroxystearin Thixotropic (meaning when shear force is applied, the viscosity of the substance will decrease. But when you stop applying force, the viscosity will return to its original state), which is considered a flow characteristic that is suitable for all types of cosmetics, especially any type of make-up.
Trihydroxystearin It is used in various formulas as follows.
- water-in-oil to help increase the stability of the formula By increasing the viscosity of the oil phase
- Improves color pay-off efficiency in any form of color-cosmetics.
- Acts as a binder in pressed-powder formulas.
- Oil thickener gives the oil viscosity.
Mixing must be temperature controlled. Keep it in the range of 35-65 degrees when blending until it becomes thick and viscous. Turn off the heat and blend until it cools down to the desired consistency. Depending on the temperature level that is heated during blending to disperse in the formula , for example, if you want to get a high thickness, warm it up to 65 degrees. But if you don't want a high thickness, heating at 35-40 degrees is enough to do the job. Trihydroxystearin [Do not use heat above 75 degrees, which will cause Trihydroxystearin Permanent loss of viscosity]
Examples of use Trihydroxystearin Acts as an oil thickener in lip gloss formulas to help prevent pigment from settling.
Usage: As a thickener, creating a gel texture for oils or silicones (including low polarity solvents).
Mixing method: Mix in oil, blend until dispersed with heat not exceeding 65 degrees.
Usage rate: 0.1-10% depending on desired viscosity.
Product appearance: White-light color powder
Solubility: Disperse in the formula.
Storage: Can be stored at room temperature. But close the bottle cap tightly. Then completely protected from sunlight or heat. The product has a minimum shelf life of 2 years.
