Sebum-Reg™ (Capryloyl Glycine) works to reduce skin oiliness. through the control process 5-alpha-reductase From the experiment, it was found that Sebum-Reg™ at 0.5-1.0% can inhibit the process. 5-alpha-reductase up to 50-100% by inhibiting This 5-alpha-reductase can help reduce (1) the occurrence of dandruff (2) the occurrence of P.acnes bacteria that causes acne.
Sebum-Reg™ can also inhibit various types of bacteria , making it useful for controlling infections in the formula, acting as a Deodorant ingredient to help inhibit underarm bacteria.
Instructions for use of Sebum-Reg™ in formulas
1. Sebum-Reg™ is soluble in ethanol and water with a pH higher than 7.
2. When mixing with the formula, if there is no ethanol in the formula, adjust the water of the formula to have a pH higher than 7 (use Triethanolamine). Then, when Sebum-Reg™ is completely dissolved, Therefore, gradually adjust the pH of the formula down to the range of 4-6 (use any type of AHA acid), which is the pH range in which Sebum-Reg™ can work best.
3. Using heat at 70 degrees will help Sebum-Reg™ dissolve in water easily and faster.
Usage: For acne treatment products Reduce facial oiliness Stop/control armpit odor
Mixing method: Mix in water (water-phase) by dissolving at a pH higher than 7. Please see mixing instructions above.
Usage rate: 0.5-2% (recommended 2% for reducing oil on the skin and treating acne)
