ZeoBlock™ (UV-Cutting Zeolite) is a special type of Non-Nano Zeolite that is smooth on the skin and can absorb both UVA and UVB light. It is highly safe because it is a non-nano particle size.
It can be used in sunscreen formulas to easily increase UV value because it has excellent texture and can protect against UV light at the broad spectrum level (please see the light absorption characteristics below).
ZeoBlock™ Highlights
1. It is a broad-spectrum UV cutting that can protect the skin from UV light throughout the UVA/UVB range.
2. Has high compatibility with formulas, can be distributed in all types of formulas.
3. Excellent texture. When used in formulas, it provides both a good texture and better sun protection.
Compared with Titanium Dioxide:
- In terms of sun protection ability: ZeoBlock™ provides lower UVB value but higher UVA value.
- In terms of texture: ZeoBlock™ does not cause any whitening effect on the skin and feels smooth compared to Tio2 which provides more whitening effect on the skin. And often rough on the skin
- In terms of formulation compatibility: ZeoBlock™ has no problems with chemical sunscreens, is easily dispersed in water and is easy to use in all formulations, Tio2 often has problems with chemical sunscreens, is not easy to form.
Compared with Zinc Oxide:
- In terms of sun protection ability: ZeoBlock™ provides higher UVB than Zinc Oxide, lower UVA than Zinc Oxide.
- In terms of texture: ZeoBlock™ does not feel rough, Zinc Oxide often feels rough on the skin.
- In terms of formulation compatibility: ZeoBlock™ has no problems with chemical sunscreen ingredients, is easily dispersed in water and is easy to use in all formulations, Zinc Oxide has limited formulation compatibility.
Using ZeoBlock™ alone in a formula to act as a sunscreen may not provide sufficient sun protection (100% usage rate will provide an SPF of approximately SPF26/PA+++++). It is suitable for boosting SPF or PA while also helping to make the skin feel smooth and comfortable to use.
Usage rate: 1-50%
Appearance: White powder, soft texture.
Mixing: Can be mixed with water, easy to disperse in water.
Storage: Store at room temperature, avoid sunlight. Shelf life: 2 years.
