4MSK (Potassium Methoxysalicylate), a Whitening substance with the Skin Bleaching process, was researched and developed by Shiseido. It is used in various products in the Whitening group of Shiseido and IPSA brands.
4MSK works by destroying melanocytes that remain beneath the surface of the skin.
Shiseido chooses to use 4MSK together with Tranexamic Acid and Vitamin C ( Ethyl Ascorbic Acid type) to perform Whitening duties together in the formula.
Usage: Used in whitening formulas to help brighten the skin.
Mixing method: Mix in water. Avoid heat above 60 degrees. *It is an electrolyte which may affect the texture of some gels/creams. Make the meat liquid
Usage rate: 1-3%, suitable for use with Tranexamic Acid.
