Oil-soluble vitamin C is the only type that is as effective as ascorbic acid (natural vitamin C) while being completely stable, not degrading when in cream formulations, and maintaining its effectiveness for at least 24 months.
Perfect-C™ is... Special grade Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate with the highest purity; color does not yellow.
Perfect-C ™ also has superior percutaneous absorption compared to Ascorbic Acid because, being in oil form, it can penetrate the inner layers of the skin, which are composed of fats, more effectively than other types.
Perfect-C ™ is approved as a quasi-drug (medicine equivalent product) in Japan when used at 3% and is approved as a functional ingredient for skin whitening (product with noticeable results for brighter skin) in Korea when used at 2%.

The differences between the various types of Vitamin C sold by the company:
1. Ethyl Ascorbic Acid : This water-soluble vitamin C is highly stable, easily mixed, and has moderate whitening properties.
2. Perfect-C™ (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) : An oil-soluble vitamin C with moderate stability and high efficacy in combating wrinkles (anti-oxidant), brightening (whitening), and improving skin firmness (collagen levels).
3. Ascorbyl Glucoside (AA2G™, Stable Vitamin C) : This water-soluble vitamin C has moderate stability and a complex mixing process (requiring pH adjustment). It is highly effective in skin whitening and anti-aging (antioxidant).
4. Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) Ultra-Fine , Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) Fine : This water-soluble vitamin C dissolves very quickly and disperses very well. It has low stability and a complex mixing process. It is highly effective in combating wrinkles (anti-oxidant), brightening (whitening), and improving skin firmness (collagen levels).
5. Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) : Vitamin C is water-soluble, has low stability, and undergoes a complex mixing process. It is highly effective in combating wrinkles (anti-oxidant), brightening (whitening), and improving skin firmness (collagen levels).
6. Stabilized Vitamin C (Natural-C Glycol™) Serum : This is a ready-to-use vitamin C base with high stability, but it cannot be customized or have other ingredients added as this would affect the base's stability . It is highly effective in reducing wrinkles (anti-oxidant), brightening (whitening), and improving skin firmness (collagen levels).
7. Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP) : A water-soluble vitamin C with high stability, easy mixing, and moderate whitening efficacy.
8. Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) : Water-soluble vitamin C , highly stable, easily mixed, and moderately effective in whitening. Similar in properties to MAP.
9. Vitamin C Ester (Ascorbyl Palmitate) : This is an oil-soluble form of vitamin C, suitable for use as an antioxidant in oil-based formulations. Its other efficacy is less compared to other forms of vitamin C.
We recommend using Protec™ OX and Protec™ UV in your formula to help protect Vitamin C from degradation.
Usage: Can be used in all types of whitening and anti-aging products.
Mixing instructions: Mix in the oil phase or in the cream maker. The pH of the formula must be between 5.0-5.5. Always include 0.2% Disodium EDTA in the formula if water is present, to help chelate any charges that might degrade the quality of Vitamin C.
Usage rate: 1-10%, 5% is recommended . Using more than 10% does not increase efficiency.
Product characteristics: Clear to light yellow oil.
Solubility: Soluble in oil.
INCI Name : Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate or Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate
