8D Hyaluronic Acid
Premium 8D multi-hyaluronic gel containing 8 HA types across multiple molecular sizes and derivatives for intensive water-based hydration formulas.
8D Hyaluronic Acid is a high-concentration multi-HA gel for premium hydration formulas.
It combines sodium hyaluronate molecular-weight fractions with hydrolyzed HA, cationic HA, acetylated HA and sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer in a water/propanediol base.
The gel format allows formulators to add a broad HA system directly into water-based formulas without pre-hydrating multiple powders.
Product Description: This product contains 8 HA types in total, arranged across sodium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid and three functional HA derivatives for multi-level hydration performance.
| No. | HA form | Molecular size / derivative | Formulation role |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sodium Hyaluronate | Medium molecule 0.8-1.5M Daltons | Balanced surface hydration and water-binding film. |
| 2 | Sodium Hyaluronate | Large molecules 1.8-3.0M Daltons | Higher surface film formation for longer water retention. |
| 3 | Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid | Medium molecule 100-500k Daltons | Mid-range hydration support with lighter skin feel than very large HA. |
| 4 | Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid | Small molecules 20-50k Daltons | Light hydration feel and good formula dispersion. |
| 5 | Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid | Small molecules 8-20k Daltons | Low-molecular hydration support for fresh, fast-feeling moisture. |
| 6 | Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate | Cationic HA derivative | Improves substantivity and helps the HA system remain on the skin surface. |
| 7 | Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate | Acetylated HA derivative | Improves skin affinity and soft, flexible moisturized feel. |
| 8 | Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer | Crosslinked HA network | Forms a moisture-retaining film for longer-lasting hydration feel. |
The system is designed to cover multiple hydration mechanisms: smaller hydrolyzed HA fractions for a light fast hydration feel, larger sodium hyaluronate fractions for surface water binding, cationic HA for better substantivity, acetylated HA for improved skin affinity, and crosspolymer HA for longer moisture-retaining film feel.
Use this product when the formula is positioned as a premium hyaluronic serum, mask, gel cream or intensive hydration product. It is a concentrated ingredient and must be diluted into the finished formula.
Usage: Suitable for premium hydrating serum, ampoule, gel cream, mask, sleeping mask, eye gel, lotion and cream.
Mixing method:
- Add directly into the water phase or cool-down phase and mix until uniform.
- Maintain final formula pH about 3-9.
- If viscosity is high, pre-dilute with part of the water phase before adding to the main batch.
Usage rate: 1-20%. Typical: 2-5% for normal/dehydrated skin formulas, 5-10% for dry skin formulas and 10-20% for intensive hydration products.
Product characteristics: Cloudy viscous gel.
Solubility: Water soluble; disperses directly into water-based formulas.
Storage: Keep closed in a cool place away from heat and sunlight. Refrigeration is acceptable for long-term storage.
