Hyaluronic Acid (Standard Molecule, 1M Daltons)
Standard 1M Da Sodium Hyaluronate powder for water-based moisturising formulas that need balanced hydration, light gel body and a soft surface film.
Hyaluronic Acid (Standard Molecule, 1M Daltons) is a cosmetic hyaluronic acid powder for water-based moisturising formulas.
This grade is Sodium Hyaluronate with molecular weight 0.8M-1.5M Da. It is designed for balanced surface hydration with light gel body and a soft film feel.
Molecular weight strongly changes how hyaluronic acid behaves in a formula: lower molecular weight grades give a lighter skin feel, while higher molecular weight grades contribute more surface hydration, viscosity and film feel.
Product Description: This standard-molecule grade stays mainly on the upper skin surface and stratum corneum. It binds water, gives a smoother hydrated feel and can add light body to serum or gel systems without the heavier film of very high molecular weight grades.
COA specification includes sodium hyaluronate minimum 95%, glucuronic acid minimum 46%, pH 6.0-7.5 in 0.1% water solution and high transparency in solution.
When the formula is not already preserved, add an appropriate preservative system. Hydrated hyaluronic acid gels are water-rich systems and can lose viscosity or become contaminated without preservation.
Usage: Suitable for hydrating serums, gels, lotions, creams, masks, essences and other water-phase cosmetic products.
Mixing method:
- Disperse slowly into the water phase while mixing. Sprinkle onto the water surface gradually to avoid clumps.
- For small lab batches without a homogenizer, shake or mix well, then allow time for full hydration before final viscosity adjustment.
- Maintain final formula pH about 3-9 and avoid unnecessary high heat or excessive shear after hydration.
Usage rate: 0.1-0.5%
Product characteristics: White powder, average molecular weight about 1M Da, specification range 0.8M-1.5M Da.
Solubility: Water soluble. Hydration is easier when the powder is added slowly into a moving water phase.
Storage: Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and heat. For long-term storage, refrigeration is acceptable when condensation is avoided.
