องค์ประกอบสำคัญของผิวที่มีสุขภาพดี มีผลการทดสอบ ให้ประโยชน์ต่างๆต่อผิว ฟื้นฟูเกาะป้องกันผิว (skin barrier) ให้แก่ผิวแห้ง ผิวมีอายุ มีลักษณะเป็น anti-microbial ฟื้นฟูผิวที่ถูกทำลายด้วยแสง UV ซึ่งกระตุ้นให้เกิด Erythema ช่วยกระตุ้นการแบ่งเซลล์ผิว / Keratinocytes ช่วยลดการระคายเคือง

Phytosphingosine มีผลการทดสอบ ให้ประโยชน์ต่างๆต่อผิวดังนี้
1. ฟื้นฟูเกาะป้องกันผิว (skin barrier) ให้แก่ผิวแห้ง ผิวมีอายุ
2. มีลักษณะเป็น anti-microbial โดยมีผลการทดลองว่าที่อัตราการใช้ สูงกว่า 100microgram/ml จะสามารถช่วยยับยั้งเชื่อต่างๆดังนี้ Micrococcus sp. , Pityrosporum ovale, Propionibacterium acnes (เชื้อ P.Acnes หรือเชื้อสิว), Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Aspergillus niger
3. ฟื้นฟูผิวที่ถูกทำลายด้วยแสง UV ซึ่งกระตุ้นให้เกิด Erythema
4. ช่วยกระตุ้นการแบ่งเซลล์ผิว / Keratinocytes
5. ช่วยลดการระคายเคือง (anti-inflammation)
6. จากประสิทธิภาพการยับยั้งเชื้อต่างๆในข้อ 2 ส่งผลให้ สามรารถช่วยยับยั้งการเกิดรังแค (เชื้อ Pityrosporum oval) และ สามารถใช้ในผลิตภัณฑ์ Deodorant ช่วยควบคุมกลิ่นกายได้
การใช้: สำหรับผลิตภัณฑ์ทุกชนิด
วิธีการผสม: ผสมในน้ำมัน สามารถทนความร้อนได้ 80องศา เวลาไม่เกิน 15นาที
อัตราการใช้: 0.05-0.1% (แนะนำ 0.1%)

การละลาย: สามารถละลาย organic solvent (ในการใช้ในสูตร ให้ปั่นให้กระจายตัวในส่วนของน้ำมัน หรือ glycol ก่อนที่จะนำไปประสานเข้ากับสูตร)
