Hydroxyacetophenone มีประโยชน์ต่างๆดังนี้:

- มีฤทธิ์ soothing (anti-irritant) effect (จากการทดลองโดย Symrise AG ด้วยการวัดค่า COX-2 Enzyme Activity)
- เป็น Preservative-Booster ช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของ สารกันเสีย โดยนิยมใช้ผสมเข้ากับ Phenoxyethanol ในอัตรา 50%:50% ซึ่งจะทำให้สามารถลดปริมาณการใช้ Phenoxyethanol ลงได้
การใช้: สำหรับผสมสูตรใดๆเพื่อช่วยรักษาคุณภาพส่วนผสม
วิธีการผสม: ผสมใน Glycols ใดๆ หรือ Glycerin หรือ Phenoxyethanol หรือ Ethanol เพื่อละลาย โดยใช้ความร้อน ไม่เกิน 60องศา ก่อนผสมเข้ากับสูตร
อัตราการใช้: 0.1-1.0%
